Competitions

As usual we will host some compos like the usual demo, intro, gfx and so on. If you have any questions or ideas about the compos please contact the compocrew and tell us whats on you mind.

Amiga:

· A1200
· 68k:68060 50MHZ
· PPC:603 240MHZ
· 2MB chip ram
· 96MB fast ram
· Rom3.1
· BlizzardvisionPPC graphicsboard.
· OS3.9 and the newest versions of WarpOS, Warp3D, CGFX4 and AHI installed.

Note: You might remember we had a better equiped A4000 the previous years but this machine is no longer very stable and some results of that could already be seen in the compos last year where we had alot of hardware trouble. So this time we'll use a less powerfull but 100% stable Amiga for the compos. If your demo/intro for Amiga really needs a fast 604 CPU then contact the compocrew in advance and they'll see what can be done.

PC:

· 1,4GHZ AMD Athlon Thunderbird
· 1GB DDR Ram
· nVidia GForce3 64MB
· Soundblaster 128
· Windows 2000 with the latest DirectX 8 and drivers installed.
· Debian GNU/Linux 3.0r0 (with all the latest drivers installed).

C64:

· A standard original C64
· Original 1541 diskdrive

· The compocrew reserve the right to disqualify entries that are too unserious, boring, bad, disgusting or with racist, pornographic, violent, disturbing or otherwise illegal content.

· Entries must be delivered in one of the following ways:

· Amiga 880K floppies
· PC 720K floppies
· PC 1.44MB floppies
· CD
· C64 floppies (only for C64 demoentries)

· In addition the following information must be turned in to the compocrew, on paper (sheets will be provided):

· Name of compo to compete in
· Name of release
· Your real name
· Your handle
· Group affiliation
· E-mail address
· Number of disks and what type.

· As always, we reserve the right to change any rule at any time.

· All competitions have "no-go" limit. If there are too few submissions, the competition will either be combined with another competition or quite simply cancelled.

· We do not accept submissions from people not attending the party. You better be there/be represented when the compos are shown and during the prize ceremonies. We won't send prizes by snailmail either.

· If an entry requires user interaction then see the compocrew beforehand for special accomodations.

· Media containing compoentries will not be returned (except maybe the C64 disks).

· Deadlines are not very flexible. Due to a lot of problems when showing the compos last year we have decided to be much more strict with the deadlines. If you want the compos to run smooth you got to give us some time to prepare, it's as simple as that.

· We reserve the right to disqualify compoentries that are too similar to earlier released material. Let's say you wanted to change the palette and some parameters in your winning 64k intro from party x and release it at KG... FORGET IT!

· Contributions can only participate in one compo.
